Gokul Pisharody is a senior pitcher and second baseman on the baseball team. This piece is part of a series of Q & A's with senior spring student-athletes who saw their senior seasons cut short due to COVID-19.
 
Q: Why did you choose SUNY Canton?
A: It offered the program I wanted (PTA) and I could play baseball while I did it. It was also very far outside my comfort zone and I took it as an opportunity to grow.
 

Q: Favorite professor and why?
A: Janet Parcell-Mitchell from HEFI, Deb Molnar and Jen McDonald from PTA. The three of them have helped me so much by working around my schedule and made what I love doing even more fun. They definitely make a great program what it is.
 

Q: Favorite memory involving your sport at Canton?
A: Definitely would be my first hit in Florida during my junior year.
 

Q: Favorite Non-Sports Memory?
A: Taking the opportunity to travel around the U.S. and a bit of Canada and seeing places I wouldn't normally get to see if I had just stayed at home.
 
 
Q: What will you miss most about SUNY Canton?
A: My friends and the family I've made there.
 
 
Q: Degree you will be graduating with?
A: Physical Therapy Assistant and Health and Fitness Promotion
 
 
Q: Future career/life plans?
A: Postgraduate work to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
