Canton, NY – Andrew Fitch led the Roos with 12 points but a late run lifted visiting Maine Farmington past the men's basketball team 72-61 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Maine Farmington jumped out to a commanding 15-0 lead but the Roos chipped away with a 23-10 run to trim the deficit to 25-23 with 5:19 left in the opening half.
- The Beavers closed the half on a 7-0 run to take a 38-30 lead into intermission. Andrew Fitch led Canton with seven first-half points, while Jack Kane had 12 for Maine Farmington.
- The visitors opened a 10 point lead early in the second half but Canton continued to grind taking a 52-50 lead with 8:48 remaining after a Kahdean Bennett three-pointer and added a basket from George Nehma two possessions later.
- Farmington rattled off a 13-0 run over the next six minutes to take a 63-54 lead and seal the victory.
- Fitch posted 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocks in 18 minutes of action. Danny Santana and Quran DuBois totaled 10 points each, while Juztin Chambers-Phillips added nine points.
- The Beavers shot 47 percent from the field in the game, while Canton hit on 37 percent of its field goals.
- The Roos had a huge 43-8 advantage in bench points, while the visitors had the upper hand in points in the paint (40-22) and points off turnovers (20-7).
