HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Broncos were all over the Roos early jumping out to an 18-3 lead less than five minutes in.
  • The hosts extended their lead to as many as 15 but Canton used a 9-0 run to get within four (27-23) with 1:59 left in the opening half. Delhi led 30-25 at intermission.
  • The Roos tied the game at 30 apiece early in the second half following a DuBois three-pointer.
  • Delhi extended the lead to eight midway through the second stanza and led by as many as 10 with 6:37 to play.
  • Canton cut the lead all the way down to two with 10 seconds remaining but Joseph Werner was unable to hit on the free throw to finish the old-fashioned three-point play.
  • After a pair of missed free throws from the Broncos Canton had a chance to tie or take the lead but was unable to get a shot off before turning it over.
  • The Broncos then hit a pair of the charity stripe to seal the win.
  • DuBois led all players with 16 points and added five rebounds and four steals. Fitch totaled 13 points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks. Juztin Chambers-Phillips chipped in eight points and six rebounds. Werner tallied seven points and eight boards, while Danny Santana recorded seven points and six rebounds.
  • Payton Dean led Delhi with 10 points and 14 rebounds, while Justin Daoud (11) and Jordan Fragale (10) also reached double figures.
