Canton, NY – Bailey Conklin scored his first goal of the season but visiting Albertus Magnus College scored twice in the first period on its way to a 4-1 win v. the SUNY Canton men's hockey team on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Falcons opened the scoring midway through the first period on Dino Antoniadis' second goal of the season. Michael Forgione and Robert Eichelberger earned helpers on the play.
• Cameron Weitzman doubled the Falcons lead at the 16:08 mark as he picked off a pass in the Roos defensive zone and beat Roos goaltender Austin Washkurak for the 2-0 lead.
• Sebastien Laquerre extended the visitors lead to 3-0 at the 9:02 mark of the second period. The Roos got one back just over a minute later when Conklin buried a tough angle shot from the right side. Zach Ahola earned an assist on the play from behind the net.
• The Roos outshot the Falcons 19-7 in the second period but Albertus Magnus took a 3-1 lead into intermission. The visitors killed off the rest of their major penalty to start the third and a second hooking penalty.
• Canton pulled Washkurak for the extra attacker with 1:35 remaining and Matthew Capisciolto put home an empty-netter with 58 seconds to play to seal the win.
• Washkurak made 19 saves in the loss. Pierce Diamond turned aside 37 shots including at least 10 in each period in the win.

The men's hockey team will travel to Oswego State on Saturday for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
