Give Hope – Fred's Army
The SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team has been working over the last couple of weeks to raise money on behalf of former SUNY Canton Facilities Director Fred Rycroft. Fred was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). While receiving treatment at UVM Medical Center Fred and his wife were able to stay at Hope Lodge free of charge. The Rycrofts asked that all money raised be donated to Hope Lodge, which is largely run on donations, so others can continue to stay their for free. At halftime of Saturday's game the Roos presented a check on behalf of the Rycrofts for $2,000 (with an additional $1,000 being raised on Saturday for $3,000 total).
