Oneonta, NY – MaryClare Bowes led all players with four goals and three assists as the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team used a strong start and finish to earn a 13-10 win in non-conference action at Hartwick on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 10-9 with just over 12 minutes remaining SUNY Canton held the host Hawks scoreless the final 12:18 of clock time and score the final four goals of the game to secure the victory. Four different players scored goals in the streak including a goal and assist from Bowes.
- The Roos also started the game strong posting six of the first seven goals of the contest as they led 6-1 after Parks second goal of the game with 11:03 left in the opening half.
- Hartwick scored the final three goals of the first half and a string of seven consecutive tallies to take an 8-6 lead with 15:42 left in the game.
- Overall, Canton scored seven of the final nine goals in what proved to be a game of runs.
- In addition to Bowes seven points, Molly Denny recorded three goals and two assists. Parks also had a hat trick, the third of her rookie season and the third in her last four contests. Jessica Pele stuffed the stat sheet with two goals, six ground balls, four draw controls and three caused turnovers.
- Logan Bush totaled a goal and assist as well as five draw controls. Mia Jermano caused four turnovers, picked up five ground balls and her and Stephanie Thayer tallied an assist each.
- Nicole Piskorowski earned the start making one save in the opening half, while Madison Leary turned aside four shots after halftime. Ashley Jablonoski made 11 stops for the Hawks.
- GinaMarie Wilson paced Hartwick with four goals, while Rachel Hedden added two goals and an assist.
- The Roos held a big advantage in draw controls (18-7), while also holding the shots on goal edge (24-15).

The women's lacrosse team returns to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on Saturday when it hosts NVU-Lyndon at 3:30 p.m.
