Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team saw its four-game win streak snapped dropping a 13-6 decision at cross-town St. Lawrence University in non-conference action on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints jumped out to a 4-0 lead just more than 20 minutes into a low scoring contest. The Roos got on the board with 3:36 left in the first half when Cecelia Neally found the back of the net.
- Devin Kelly added Canton's second first-half tally with 42 seconds remaining as the Roos got within 5-2 at intermission.
- St. Lawrence extended its lead to 8-2 in the opening five minutes after halftime, but the Roos scored three straight off the sticks of Molly Denny, Jessica Pele and MaryClare Bowes closing the deficit to 8-5 with 20 minutes remaining.
- The Saints scored five of the final six goals of the contest to preserve the 13-6 victory.
- Madison Leary made 11 saves for the Roos, while Olga Lukas stopped four shots for the Saints.
- Denny led the Roos with a goal and assist, Kelly posted three ground balls and Pele added three draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls. Allison Wakefield chipped in two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Isabel Silvia led St. Lawrence with four goals and one assist, while Kylie Murphy and Emma Owens tallied two goals apiece.
