Potsdam, NY – Devin Kelly posted her second hat trick of the season but the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team saw its three-game win streak snapped in a 15-6 loss at Clarkson University on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kelly's three goals were her second most in a game this season as she posted four in a 14-4 win v. Plattsburgh on March 6th. MaryClare Bowes recorded two goals and Erin Parks, the defending North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week, tallied a goal and assist.
- Mia Jermano, last week's NAC Defensive Player of the Week, along with Maddy Weir caused three turnovers each, while Jermano picked up a game-high six ground balls. Bowes chipped in five ground balls and Kelly and Logan Bush had a team-best three draw controls each.
- Clarkson scored the first three goals of the game and jumped out to a 9-2 halftime lead that saw seven different players score in the opening 30 minutes.
- The Golden Knights extended the lead to 13-2 early in the second half before the Roos scored four of the final six goals in the final 20 minutes.
- Katie Sergeant and Aubrey Borgesi struck for four goals each for the hosts, while Sydney Roderick tallied a game-best five points on two goals and three assists. Jaid Baytos registered a goal and assist to go with a game-high eight draw controls.
- Madison Leary took her first loss of the season making five saves in the first half, while Nicole Piskorowski stopped five shots after halftime allowing just three goals.
- Carolynn Pechmann earned the win for the Golden Knights stopping five shots over the first 34 plus minutes.
WHAT'S NEXT
The women's lacrosse team is off this weekend before returning to action a week from today when it visits Hartwick College at 4 p.m.
