Geneseo, NY – AJ D'Orazio and
Jesse Farabee each scored but the SUNY Canton men's hockey team was unable to overcome an early deficit falling 10-2 to No. 4 nationally-ranked SUNY Geneseo on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the opening period scoring once on the power play and two even-strength goals off the sticks of Conlan Keenan, Carson Kelley and Andrew Romano.
- Dan Bosio made it 4-0 early in the second period before D'Orazio got the Roos on the board with the skater advantage at 7:10 of the second. Kyler Matthews and Matthew Headland recorded assists on the play.
- The teams then exchanged scores to get Canton within 5-2. The Roos scored their second goal of the game on the power play with Farabee tallying his team-leading third goal of the season off passes from Tyson Bruce and Matthews.
- Geneseo added five more goals, three of which came with the skater advantage, in a game that saw a combined 21 penalties for 75 minutes between the two teams.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos are off next weekend before returning to the ice for a home-and-home weekend series with Skidmore on November 22nd and 23rd. After traveling to Saratoga Springs on Friday, the Roos will host the Thoroughbreds on Alumni Night on Saturday at 7 p.m.
