Potsdam, NY – Joseph Werner led all players with 23 points and 14 rebounds but the SUNY Canton men's basketball team dropped a 75-67 road battle at SUNY Potsdam on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Werner was impressive throughout as he shot 11-for-15 from the field and hit his lone three-pointer. He also added a steal and assist in 35 minutes of action. Quran DuBois finished with 15 points hitting three treys and added six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
- Andrew Fitch nearly recorded a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds, while totaling four blocks and two steals. Zaavan Pedlar was the other Roo in double figures tallying 10 points, while Danny Santana chipped in seven.
- The Roos opened a 17-12 lead midway through the opening half following back-to-back buckets from Fitch. The Bears responded with an 14-0 run to take a 26-17 lead with 6:42 left in the first half. The Roos battled back to within 29-27 after a Santana three, but Potsdam led 37-30 at intermission.
- The Bears led ballooned to double digits in the second half but Canton was able to cut the deficit to seven following a DuBois steal and layup with 2:02 remaining. However, the Roos were unable to get any closer in the loss.
- Jayquan Thomas paced the hosts with 17 points, while Danny Delsol-Lowry (14) and Brandon Segar, Jr. (11) also scored in double figures.
