Clinton, NY – Kyler Matthews put home the game-winner with seven seconds left in regulation as the SUNY Canton men's hockey team earned a season sweep of a home-and-home series earning a 3-2 road win at Hamilton College on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the second time in five days the Roos earned a one-goal win v. the Continentals, this time twice overcoming a goal deficit to secure the win and jump above .500 for the first time this.
- Hamilton got on the board first at 13:45 of the opening period
- Canton evened the game at one apiece at 2:51 of the second period. Sean Shepard hit Bailey Conklin with a breakout pass from right to left as he skated across the blue line. Conklin fired a shot toward net that was redirected out in front off the stick of Reily McIntosh.
- The Continentals regained the one-goal edge less than two minutes later on the power play as Andrew Court slotted his first goal of the season.
- SUNY Canton knotted the game at two apiece just 63 seconds into the third period. After a save by Austin Washkurak, Jarrod Croswell tipped a breakout pass forward to Sean David who skated the puck down the right side and took a shot from the right circle. Sean Storr made the initial save for the hosts, but Max Routledge gobbled up the rebound at the far post for his fourth of the season.
- With time winding down in the game AJ D'Orazio hit Routledge with a backhand pass near the blue line. Pressured by a Continental skater, Routledge left the puck for Matthews. He skated around a screen and fired a wrist shot from high between the circles top shelf past the stick side of Storr for the win.
- Washkurak made 32 saves in the win for the Roos, while Storr turned aside 16 shots in the loss.
- The assist marks the first career point for Croswell, while the goal is the team-leading 10th point of the season for Matthews.
