Men’s Basketball Sets Threes Record, Beats St. Lawrence for First Time in 97-87 Win

Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton men's basketball team made an NCAA D-III era program record 17 three-pointers as they shot past visiting St. Lawrence University, 97-87, in a non-league contest on Tuesday afternoon in the Roos House.

The win is the first for the Roos v. St. Lawrence and the 17 three-pointers made for SUNY Canton are the most as far as statistical archives are available, at least back prior to the 2008-09 season. The last time a SUNY Canton team approached Tueday's mark was when the team hit 15 three-pointers January 26, 2018 v. Paul Smith's.
