CHS BOX SCORE
Oswego, NY – The SUNY Canton men's hockey team scored three third period goals on Friday to earn a 5-2 win v. Concordia Wisconsin and lift them into the championship game of the Pathfinder Bank/Oswego Hockey Classic.
The Roos (6-6-2) will face tournament host and No. 6/7 nationally-ranked Oswego State on Saturday at 7 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin got on the board first at 17:37 of the first on the power play when Stefen Seel skated into the slot and wristed a shot bar down off the crossbar over the stick of Michael Cerasuolo.
- The Roos responded moments later when Kyler Matthews made the goaltender's water bottle pop when he fired a shot from the point through traffic with 1:11 remaining in the opening period. Cerasuolo made 16 first period saves to keep the game scoreless headed to first intermission. Zach Ahola and Sean David earned assists on the play.
- Canton took its first lead of the game at 11:52 of the middle period when a loose puck came to Stuart Fierheller as he fired a shot top shelf past a shielded Bo Didur. Adam Petric earned a helper on Fierheller's first goal of the season and second of his career.The Roos took a 2-1 lead into second intermission.
- Bailey Conklin made it 3-1 on what proved to be the eventual game-winner at 7:50 of the third period off passes from William Ma and Sean Shepard.
- The Falcons got within one three minutes later on Adam Fauchox's second goal of the season, a shorthanded tally.
- Concordia called timeout with 1:16 remaining and pulled their goalie but Adam Petric and Sean David tallied empty netters 21 seconds apart for the 5-2 final.
- Cerasuolo finished with 30 saves in his fifth win of the season, while Didur turned aside 25 shots for the Falcons.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos will advance to the championship game on Saturday at 7 p.m. where they square off with the host Lakers.
