Presque Isle, ME – Four players scored in double figures as sophomore
Andrew Fitch posted a career-high 19 rebounds and set the NCAA D-III era program record for career blocks as the Roos earned a 68-64 road win in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on Friday evening.
Fitch now owns SUNY Canton's NCAA D-III era career record for blocks with 128 breaking the previous record of 124 set by Romario Fletcher '17.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Robert Holliday, Jr. paced Canton with 16 points, while Jordan Stewart (14), Danny Santana (12) and Brandon Adkisson (12) all posted in double figures. Fitch hauled down a game and career-high 19 rebounds to go with four blocks and five points.
- Canton led by as many as six points in the opening half as they took a 33-28 lead into intermission.
- The Roos extended their lead to as many as nine at 54-45 with 9:10 remaining after an Adkisson jumper. The host Owls took the lad at 60-58 following a 15-4 run with 5:29 to play.
- Canton gained a two-point advantage with 41 seconds remaining after Jordan Stewart split a pair of free throws. Stewart closed out the game going 2-for-2 from the line in the final seconds.
- Shyquinn Dix led UMPI with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Griffine Guerrette (13) and Jahvion Lockridge (11) posted double digit points.

"I was really impressed with how gritty our guys played tonight," Head Coach
Ben Thompson said. "They competed so hard and really gutted out this win. We will need to be able to match our energy level tomorrows as well to have a chance to win. I was also really proud of Andrew. To set the career blocks record at SUNY Canton in only his 43rd collegiate game is pretty remarkable."
