Canton, NY – Andrew Fitch recorded his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 14 rebounds but visiting and No. 5 nationally-ranked Middlebury College never trailed in a 79-57 win on Tuesday evening in the Roos House.

The Panthers (19-3), ranked fifth in the D3Hoops.com Top 25 Poll that was released on Monday, jumped out to a 27-6 lead midway through the first half. The Roos (7-15) trimmed the deficit to 10 when
Joseph Werner found Fitch for a bucket inside with 18 seconds left in the opening half. Middlebury led 37-25 at intermission.

Middlebury extended its lead to 18 (62-44) midway through the second half after Adisa Majors hit Joey Leighton for an open three-pointer. The Panthers controlled play the remainder of the way to earn the 79-57 victory.

Fitch tied a game-high with 16 points and hauled down a game-best 14 rebounds while hitting five of his nine attempts from the field.
Adrian Williams also chipped in 13 points, while
Danny Santana,
Ibu Smith,
Brandon Adkisson and
Jordan Stewart supplied five points apiece.
Joseph Werner tallied nine rebounds.

Matt Folger led all Panthers in scoring with 16 points and rebounds with nine, while Majors recorded 13 points. Jack Daly stuffed the stat sheet nearly recording a triple-double on 11 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

The Roos held a slim, 12-7 edge in second chance points, while Middlebury had the upper hand in points off turnovers (16-2) and bench points (34-14).
