Alfred, NY – Andrew Fitch scored 12 points and added eight rebounds and the Roos led by one at intermission but a strong second half carried host Alfred State past the men's basketball team, 53-39, on Sunday afternoon.

Fitch posted six first half points to lead the Roos to an 18-17 lead at intermission. Alfred State (15-8) outscored Canton 36-21 after halftime to earn the 14 point home victory.

Jordan Stewart tallied six points, while
Adrian Williams added five points and eight rebounds.
Zaavan Pedlar chipped in five points and six rebounds in his first career start, while
Ibu Smith totaled five points and seven rebounds.

Dante Jordan's 17 points paced three players in double figures for the Pioneers. Alexshay Pearce recorded 14 points, while Tyler Elliott finished with a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
