Andrew Garrett added two goals and two assists but a strong second half led Bard College past the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team, 15-10, in the season-opening contest for both teams on Wednesday.

Host Bard (1-0) jumped out to a 5-3 lead after the first quarter but the Roos (0-1) responded with a stretch of four of five goals. The teams headed into intermission tied at seven apiece. Garrett,

Trenton Yule and Yelvington all posted two points apiece in the first half, while E O'Connell led the Raptors with three goals.

The Raptors outscored Canton 8-3 after halftime to secure the five-goal victory.

Yelvington and Garret paced the Roos with four points each, while Yule added a pair of goals and Sutton dished out a pair of assists.
Brandon Rodee tallied a team-high six ground balls, while
Hunter Yerdon recorded a game-best five caused turnovers to go with five ground balls.

Emmet O'Connell paced the Raptors with five goals and one assist, while Corey Rich posted three goals, two assists and four ground balls.

Kody Kocsis made 19 saves in goal for SUNY Canton, while Lyle Healey made eight stops in the win for Bard.
