Fitch Records Double-Double, Stewart Tallies Team-High 18 in Road Loss v. Falcons

New Haven, CT – Jordan Stewart posted a team-high 18 points and Andrew Fitch added his third double-double of the season but the men's basketball team fell 84-72 on the road at Albertus Magnus College on Tuesday evening.
 
Fitch finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks shooting 5-for-7 from the field and 2-for-2 from three-point range. Stewart's 18 points included an 8-for-17 shooting night, while Adrian Williams recorded 13 points and a team-high five assists including an 8-for-12 mark from the charity stripe. Danny Santana posted 11 points and Ibu Smith tallied eight points and eight rebounds off the bench.
 
Jaqhawn Walters had a monster outing for the Falcons (19-4) recording game-highs of 31 points and 21 rebounds, while Amir Maddred finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Tyreek Perkins (14) and Erick Langston (10) also finished in double figures.
 
The hosts jumped out to an early 9-0 lead but the Roos (7-17) responded with a 10-2 run to get within 11-10 just over seven minutes into the contest. Canton took a 28-26 lead with 5:25 left in the opening half following a Brandon Adkisson jumper. The Falcons closed the half on a 17-4 run to take a 43-32 lead into intermission.
 
The Roos trimmed the deficit to six early in the second half but Albertus Magnus would extend its lead to as many as 21 before a late Canton run cut the final deficit to 12.
