HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Holliday, Jr.'s 23 points and four made three-pointers (4-for-7) are both season-highs. Stewart tallied 17 points and a season-high four made treys. Brandon Adkisson chipped in 11 points, while Brandon Palmer hauled down a team-best eight rebounds. Joseph Werner tied a game-high with five assists, while adding six rebounds.
  • The Roos jumped out to a 12-point advantage leading 26-14 just over midway through the first half after Kahdean Bennett found Stewart for a layup.
  • Canton extended its lead to as many as 14 (30-16) before the Bears responded with a 21-5 run to take their first lead of the game at 37-35. The Roos responded with a mini 5-0 run to take a 40-37 lead into intermission.
  • The hosts shot 46 percent from the field and from three-point range in the opening half, while Potsdam hit on 38 percent of its field goals and 25 percent of its three-point attempts. Jordan Stewart and Danny Delsol-Lowry posted 12 first-half points each.

  • Serigne Kane hit a jumper in the paint off a loose ball with 26.6 seconds left to give the Bears a two point lead. The Roos turned the ball over on the ensuing possession with three seconds left and Kane split a pair of free throws with two seconds left to preserve the win as Stewart's last attempt heave came up short.

FROM THE BENCH
"Tonight was a tough loss for our guys," Head Coach Ben Thompson said. "I thought that we played hard, but our execution was really poor late in the game. That is something that we will need to be better with for us to compete at a high level."

WHAT'S NEXT
