Rutland, VT – Christopher Mammas scored the game-winner 2 minutes and 29 seconds into overtime to lift the SUNY Canton men's hockey team to a 3-2 road win at Castleton on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mammas tallied his fourth goal of the season nearly midway through the overtime period off a pass from Zach Pease to help Canton earn a 3-2 win on the road.
- The Roos jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the opening period behind a goal and assist each from Sean David and Tyler Bullard.
- The Spartans responded with a second period goal from Sam Rennert and a third period tally from Kyle Kazeroid to send the game to OT.
- The Roos went 1-for-6 on the power play while killing off all five of their penalties.
- Austin Washkurak earned the win with 23 saves in net for the Roos, while Wyatt Pickrell took the loss for the Spartans making 28 saves.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos return to the ice next Saturday when they host Hamilton College in the Roos House at 7 p.m.
