Canton, NY – Tyler Bullard posted a goal and assist and
Ben Beasley added a pair of assists as the SUNY Canton men's hockey team earned a 3-1 win v. Johnson & Wales University on Friday night.

The Roos (4-11-2) outshot Johnson & Wales (5-11-0) 12-4 in the opening period but neither team could find the back of the net as the teams skated to first intermission scoreless.

Canton got on the board just 1:46 into the second period when
Tyler Bullard found
Joe Deveny at the far post for a one-timer, his team-leading 13th goal of the season.
Ben Beasley also earned a helper on the play.

The Roos doubled their lead five minutes later when
Tyler Ralph put home his fourth goal of the season redirecting a
Josh Sova shot out in front.
Zach Pease also earned a helper on the play.

Bullard added a second Canton power play goal when he made a great move through traffic backhanding his fourth goal of the season into the back of the net.
Ben Beasley earned an assist on the score. Canton held a 17-7 shots advantage in the second period taking a 3-0 lead into second intermission.

The Wildcats pulled the goalie late as Victor Carlsson scored with the extra attacker for the 3-1 final.

Austin Washkurak made 16 saves in net, while Tyler Ellor and Mike Rockwell combined to make 32 saves for the Wildcats.
