Canton, NY – Five different players found the back of the net as SUNY Canton erupted for three scores in the third period to earn a 5-1 win v. Salem State University on Friday in the Roos House.

Katie Ferguson and
Tess Adams led the Roos with a goal and assist, while
Alyssa Hein notched a pair of assists.
Â
Salem State (0-4-1, 0-4-1 Colonial Hockey Conference) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a Rose Sullivan power play goal at 11:40 of the first. The Roos (3-1-0, 2-1-0 CHC) responded on
Sophia Koenig's second goal of the season five minutes later.
Sydney Jordan and Ferguson earned helpers on the play.

Whitney Bernier gave Canton its first lead of the game with 1:17 remaining in the middle period off passes from Adams and
Ashley Gillies.
Hannah Brady tallied her first goal of the season and fourth of her career at 6:29 of the third off the setup from Hein.

Ferguson slotted her team-leading third goal of the season on the power play two minutes later as Hein and
Micayla Macintyre were credited with assists on the play. Adams added a shorthanded goal with 8:34 remaining for the 5-1 final.

Brooke Susac made 25 saves in the win, while Isabelle Woodward stopped 34 shots for the Vikings.
