CHS BOX SCORE

Brockport, NY – George Curry (Schaumburg, IL) scored twice including the overtime game-winner as the SUNY Canton men's hockey team went on the road and earned a 3-2 victory against host Brockport on Saturday evening.

SUNY Canton (4-14-3) opened the scoring 16:19 into the first when Kasey Kulczycki (Laval, QUE) found Curry for his third goal of the season as the visitors led 1-0 after one.

The Golden Eagles (9-9-2) responded with a pair of goals in the middle period to open up a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes of play. Jesse Facchini netted his fifth of the year at 10:19 and James Ryan added his second of the year at 17:50.

Trenton Yule (Oswego, NY) lit the lamp for the second time of the season at 13:19 of the third to tie the game and send it to overtime to set up Curry's heroics. Joe Deveny (Stouffville, ON) earned a helper on Yule's tally.

With one minute left in overtime Deveny picked off a Brockport pass in the neutral zone and hit Curry on a breakaway as he beat Golden Eagle netminder Jack Lockhurst to the left side for the win.

Louie Puig (Chicago, IL) stopped 36 shots in the win for the Roos, while Lockhurst made 29 saves for Brockport.

The men's hockey team will hit the road for a pair of games at Fredonia next weekend. Puck drops at 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night.
