Schneider and Curry Score in Road Tilt at Potsdam

Potsdam, NY – Spencer Landry (New Hartford, NY) stopped a career-high 51 shots in goal but the Roos fell in a road contest 4-2 at SUNY Potsdam on Friday evening.
 
Potsdam got on board first after the Roos committed a boarding penalty 4:37 into the opening period. Erick Ware lit the lamp for the first time this season 1:03 into the skater advantage off passes from Matt Thompson and Billy Pascalli.
 
The Roos knotted the game at one apiece 15:41 into the first as George Curry (Schaumburg, IL) beat Jon Hall for his second tally of the season. Thomas Crabtree (Knoxville, TN) and Kenneth Orlando (Chalfont, PA) earned assists on the play as the teams went into the first intermission tied at one.
 
Tommy Telesca netted his third of the season in unassisted fashion at the 8:33 mark of the second period. Landry was huge in goal making 34 saves through two periods to keep SUNY Canton within just one score.
 
The Bears made it 4-1 as Joey Gilhooly netted back-to-back scores in the first 10 minutes of the third frame, with one coming on the power play. Dave Schneider (Indianapolis, IN) found the back of the net for the first time this season with the skater advantage. Eric Witzel (Ottawa, ON) and Brett Costello (Lombardy, ON) were credited with assists on the score at 17:44 of the third period. SUNY Canton pulled the goalie with 52 seconds remaining.
 
Landry stopped a career-high 51 shots in the game for SUNY Canton, while Hall made 25 saves for Potsdam. The Roos are back in action on Tuesday when they SUNY Cortland at 7:00 p.m.
