Center Valley, PA – The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team defeated Marywood University, 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-14) in straight sets to open the Desales Tournament on Friday.
The Roos hit .281 on 96 attack attempts as a team, while their counterparts finished with a negative hitting percentage in the match. SUNY Canton (20-5) more than doubled up Marywood in the kills department 40-19.
Morgan Bills (Walworth, NY) led all players with 12 kills on a remarkably accurate .706 attack percentage.
Jessica Reynolds (Oakville, ON) added 11 kills, five digs and three service aces, while
Robyn Carroll (Bowmanville, ON) was strong defensively with eight digs.
Caitlin Grimshaw (Adams, NY) stuffed the stat sheet with nine digs, five kills and four blocks, while
Mackenzie Mynter (Churchville, NY) posted 36 assists and eight digs.
