(Buffalo, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team kept their incredible winning streak intact on Saturday as they won both matches at a tri-match at D'Youville College in Buffalo.
The Roos improved to 20-2 overall with a 3-1 win over Franciscan University (25-16, 25-17, 24-26, 25-14) and a 3-0 win over the host Spartans (25-15, 25-11, 25-12). SUNY Canton is ranked fourth in the USCAA Coaches Poll and have won 13 straight matches, and remarkably have dropped just two sets during that stretch.
In the match against Franciscan, senior
Danielle Swanston (Burke, N.Y.) delivered 12 kills to pace the Roos. Sophomore
Jessica Reynolds (Oakville, Ontario) collected seven kills and five digs. Freshman
Morgan Bills (Walworth, N.Y.) also had seven kills to go along with four service aces. Sophomore
Mackenzie Mynter (Churchville, N.Y.) distributed 31 assists and freshman
Robyn Carroll (Bowmanville, Ontario) collected seven digs.
Mynter had a solid all-around match against D'Youville with 25 assists, eight kills and eight digs. Bills pounded own a career-high 15 kills. Swanston added 15 digs and five kills. Carroll made 14 digs. Senior
Heather Lottie (Canton, N.Y.) had five kills and senior
Abbey Shoen (Waddington, N.Y.) contributed seven digs.
The Roos play their final regular season matches next weekend at the Houghton College tournament before returning home to host the USCAA national championship Nov. 2-4.
