(Amherst, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's basketball team suffered a 112-42 loss to Daemen College Tuesday night in Amherst. The Roos dropped to 2-8 while the Wildcats, who had received votes in the latest NAIA Division II national poll, improved to 11-6.
Daemen led 66-18 at halftime and held the Roos to 27 percent shooting from the field. The Wildcats also sank 12 2-pointers and shot 58 from the floor.
Jajuan Williams (Jacksonville, N.C.) was the only SUNY Canton player to reach double figures as he scored 14 points to go along with two rebounds and two steals.
Tony Parker (Sodus, N.Y.) added eight points and four rebounds for the Roos and
Jeff Grenier (Whitehall, N.Y.) contributed seven points and five boards.
Mike Maisto came off the bench to net a game-high 20 points, 15 coming frorm three-point range. Devon Dawson added 18 points, five rebounds and three assists.
