(Utica, N.Y.)- SUNY Canton saw their two-game winning streak snapped on Monday as they lost at SUNYIT 83-60.  The Roos fell to 3-6 while the Wildcats evened their record at 5-5.

SUNYIT broke a 10-10 tie with 14:30 left in the first half by scoring the next 12 points hitting 5 of 7 shots from the field and forcing four of the Roos 25 turnovers in the game.  That run led to a 41-23 halftime lead.

SUNY Canton played better in the second half as they were outscored by just five points while shooting 40 percent from the floor and an impressive 92 percent  from the free throw line sinking 13 of 14 shots from the stripe.

Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) dropped in 12 points and grabbed four rebounds for the Roos.

Heather Lottie (Canton, N.Y.) added 10 points and three boards.  Brittany Kenyon (Hammond, N.Y.) collected nine points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals and Jackie Sedlacek (Endicott, N.Y.) pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds.

Tamara Williams scored a game-high 15 points and snagged nine rebounds for the Wildcats, who stopped a three-game slide.  Taylor Topping and Shikiera Dumas each added 11 points.
