(Canton, N.Y.)- Junior forward Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) was named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball.

LaFave averaged 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 41 percent from the floor and 85 percent from the free throw line in two games.  

LaFave posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in a 66-53 win over Albany College of Pharmacy that helped the Roos snap a three-game losing skid. The previous night she had nine points and six rebounds in a close loss to Clarkson University.

LaFave is currently fourth in the conference in scoring (13.7), fifth in rebounding (7.5) and second in free throw shooting (.848).
