(Houghton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's basketball team lost to Houghton College 72-56 Saturday afternoon in Houghton.

Tony Valentin (Calcium, N.Y.) dropped in 24 points, grabbed four rebounds, handed out two assists and made two steals to lead the Roos (0-2).

Jeff Grenier (Whitehall, N.Y.) added nine points and four boards and Tony Parker (Sodus, N.Y.) hauled in 12 rebounds to go along with seven points.

The Highlanders were led by Devin Paige who had 17 points, four rebounds and three steals. Ryan Shay had 16 points, eight rebounds, and five steals and Mark O'Brien added 10 points and three assists.
