Carol LaMarche enters her fifth season at the helm of the Lady Roos Volleyball team in 2015.

During the 2014 season Coach LaMarche led the Roos to a 27-7 overall record and a third place finish at USCAA Nationals. LaMarche was named the 2014 USCAA Coach of the Year and saw two players named to the All-Tournament Team, while having three student-athletes named USCAA All-Americans and 2 AVCA All-Americans. 

The Roos have seen tremendous growth under Coach LaMarche as the team put together back-to-back 28 win seasons in 2012 and 2013 for an overall mark of 56-14. The Syracuse University graduate recently reached the 100 career win mark with a sweep of Utica College on September 13, 2014.

The 2013 season saw three Roos earn USCAA All-American status headlined by setter Mackenzie Mynter earning First Team honors for the second consecutive season. Morgan Bills earned Second Team accolades, while Robyn Carroll earned a spot on the Honorable Mention Team. Kiana Archer and Caitlin Grimshaw earned spots on the USCAA All-Academic Team.

The women's volleyball team had remarkable success during Coach LaMarche's second season as the team finished the year with a record of 28-5 culminating in the semifinals of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship. Three members of the Roos volleyball team earned USCAA All-American status in 2012 led by current setter Mackenzie Mynter who earned First Team, outside hitter and current assistant coach Danielle Swanston who earned Second Team, and current outside hitter Jessica Reynolds who was named Honorable Mention. 

During a successful first campaign at SUNY Canton, LaMarche led the team to a 19-14 overall record, ending her inagural season on a seven-match win streak. She also had Shiloh Bourgeois (Keesville, N.Y.) named as a USCAA Academic All-American as well as several USCAA Players of the Week.

Coach LaMarche was an assistant coach with the Syracuse University volleyball program, first as a Graduate Assistant in '02-'03, and then as a full-time assistant from '06-'10.  LaMarche helped guide Syracuse to a 23-9 record in 2009, their best campaign since 2005.  The former co- captain of the Orange helped her alma mater make three straight Big East championship appearances during her five years as an assistant coach.  

As a player, LaMarche totaled 741 kills and 95 blocks and averaged 3.49 kills per game, which ranks third in the school record books.  She led the Orange to 80 wins during her four years and made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for six semesters and was a two-time Big East Academic All-Star.

She earned her master’s degree in Accounting from Syracuse while serving as the graduate assistant and then played professionally in the National French League for one year for the Chatelaillon-Plage N1 Volleyball Team.

Following her stint in France, LaMarche became the head women’s volleyball coach at Clarkson University for one season before moving to Syracuse. She led the Golden Knights to a 20-14 record and a berth in the New York State Tournament for the fourth time in the program's 31-year history.  Clarkson finished fifth in the tournament after entering as the 12th-seed.  LaMarche and the Golden Knights broke six school records and four players were named to the all-conference team.

Carol resides in Canton with her husband Phil, a professor in the English deparment at SUNY Canton, and their son Wyatt and daughter Colette.
