- Charles attended Canton Central (Hugh C. Williams High School) where he played lacrosse, hockey and soccer
- In lacrosse he was named Second Team All-Northern
- His hockey team won the 2019 Section X Championship, won the Regional Championship and went to the Final Four State Championship.
- His lacrosse team won the 2021 Section X Championship
- Played golf at Elmira College in the Empire 8 in 2021-2022
