Josh Corrigan was named the assistant coach of the SUNY Canton men’s hockey program in September 2019. He enters his fourth season as an assistant with the Roos during the 2022-23 season.

The Roos went 10-11-2 during the 2021-22 season, finishing the year with four straight wins, as the team won the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Commissioner's Cup with a 5-2 win over Albertus Magnus College (16-8-1).

Corrigan helped lead SUNY Canton to a 13-9-3 record during the 2019-20 season that saw the team receive votes in the USCHO Top 15 Poll for the first time in program history. The Roos spent five straight weeks receiving votes in the poll with the team's highest ranking coming on January 13th, 2020 when they received 30 votes and what amounted to a national ranking of 16th. SUNY Canton put together an eight game unbeaten streak (7-0-1) that included a sweep of Hamilton College, and road wins at Plattsburgh State, SUNY Potsdam, Buffalo State and Fredonia. Corrrigan also helped lead the team with Boak on a trip overseas trip to Europe during the school's winter break where they played three games and had numerous sight-seeing opportunities. The Roos spent time in Switzerland, France and Italy.

Corrigan, a 2016 graduate of New England College, was a four year member for the Pilgrims men’s hockey team. He comes to Canton after serving as the head coach of the Northern Cyclones U-18 team last season. He was in charge of recruiting and coaching for the program, while developing relationships with potential recruits and parents.

“We are really looking for Josh to pick up where we left off on the recruiting trail,” Boak said at the time of Corrigan's hiring. “Josh is a young and very motivated coach and I see him improving our program from the get go. He brings vast familiarity of recruiting in the Boston area as well as knowledge on the strength and conditioning side of things. I am really excited to be able to work with him day in and day out.”

Prior to his time at the helm of the Northern Cyclones, Corrigan was an assistant coach and assistant general manager for the Seahawks Hockey Club of the EHL during the 2017-18 season. He also served as an assistant coach for the Northeast Generals of the NAHL-NA3HL during the 2016-17 season.

“I want to thank Coach Boak for giving me the opportunity to join the SUNY Canton family,” Corrigan said when receiving the job. “I am very excited to get started and contribute to a program that is on the rise.”

Corrigan graduated from New England College with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a concentration in Coaching in 2016. During his time at NEC he was also a student ambassador for the Admissions office. He facilitated tours to prospective students and their families and helped guide prospective students on their decision-making process.
