Braydn Bovee made six saves as the SUNY Canton men's soccer team dropped a tight 2-1 decision to No. 23 nationally-ranked Oneonta on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Oneonta tested Bovee early, recording back-to-back chances in tight, with Bovee coming up big both times to keep the game scoreless
- Zach Tanner finally solved the Roos defense in the 37th minute, taking a cross from Nico Loaiza and heading the ball into the lower left corner of the net to give the Red Dragons a 1-0 lead.
- Canton came out with renewed energy in the second half, and it paid off as Brody Sparks chipped a pass over the defense and into the box where Barth corralled the ball and elevated it over Oneonta goalkeeper James Cintron to tie the game 1-1.
- The Roos defense limited Oneonta's opportunities throughout the second half which included a phenomenal save by Bovee in the 67th minute on a point-blank shot from Yacouba Bamba.
- Bovee came up big again on a Bamba penalty shot in the 70th minute to keep the game tied.
- Zach Rabadi scored the Red Dragons eventual game-winner on a quick restart, receiving a pass from Iyare Harris and depositing it into the lower right corner of the net in the 86th minute, giving Oneonta the 2-1 victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Oneonta outshot the Roos 13-4, including eight shots on goal to the Roos two.
- The Red Dragons also had the advantage in corner kicks (11-0).
- Freshman Anthony Ruggiero and Barth each recorded a shot on goal for Canton.
- Barth's goal was his first as a Roo and the second collegiate career goal, the other coming in his freshman year at SUNY Poly.
- Bovee made six saves while Cintron recorded one for Oneonta.
