Roos Battle Wolves in Keuka Park

Keuka Park, NY – Summer Foster got the nod to start in net for the first time this season as the SUNY Canton women's soccer team faced Keuka College on Wednesday afternoon. The Roos ultimately came up short.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Keuka's Lydia Lane kicked off the scoring with a goal at the 13-minute mark to put the Wolves up early.
  • Cali Knapp followed up less than four minutes later, scoring off a pass from Kylie Stickler.
  • Three consecutive corner kicks gave the Roos an opportunity to tighten things up in the 35th minute, falling flat.
  • Goodnow, Miller, and Lane each added scores in the second half to put the game out of reach.
  • Keuka added another goal to close things out as the match approached its last moments.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Keuka outshot Canton 12-2 with Lane leading the pack.
  • Both squads finished even in corner kicks with seven apiece.
  • Foster's six saves mark a new career best through three net appearances as a Roo.
