Canton, NY – Raine Rumble, a sophomore on the men's golf team, and Brody Sparks, a freshman on the men's soccer team, have been named this week's Roos of the Week.

Rumble recorded a pair of top five finishes in two events last week. He opened the week shooting a 77 (+5) to earn medalist honors at the Lou Jarvis Invitational at Jay Peak Resort Golf Course on Monday. posted a 77 going out in 41 before coming home in with an even 36 on the back nine. He birdied the 220-yard par-three 14th hole and eagled the 527-yard par-five 16th hole going three-under in a three-hole span. The sophomore finished with an eagle, a birdie, eight pars and eight bogeys overall. Rumble bested the field of 15 golfers in the three-team tournament by four strokes. The Roos won the team event with 328 strokes.

On Wednesday he carded a round of 73 (+1) at the Clarkson Invitational at Potsdam Town & Country Club, finishing just two shots back of four players who tied for first. He went out in 38 and came home in 35 posting four birdies, 11 pars, two bogeys and a triple. Rumble birdied three of the four par fives and the par four 13th.

Sparks had a hand in both of Canton's goals scored on the week. He set up Canton's first goal of the season in the 55th minute of a 4-1 loss at St. Lawrence on Wednesday. The rookie then played a ball into the box as Demetrius Blake scored in a 1-1 draw at Sarah Lawrence on Saturday. Sparks leads the team with two points and two assists this season.
