Women’s Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton women's volleyball program and Head Coach Cooper Colesante have announced their upcoming schedule for the 2026 season.

The Roos will compete in 25 matches with 13 home games and nine SUNYAC matches in the team's third season in their new conference. SUNY Canton opens the season at home against Paul Smith's on September 1.

After a pair of road weekends that take them to Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont, the Roos return home to co-host the North Country Classic with SUNY Potsdam on September 18 and 19. Canton will play host to seven matches over two days with the Roos competing in four of those matches against Keuka and Hilbert (9/18) as well as VTSU Johnson and SUNY Poly (9/19).

The team spends the next week on the road for a pair of matches before hosting three non-league contests the following week against St. Lawrence (9/29), Potsdam (10/2) and Oswego (10/3). Canton's final non-league tuneup comes on October 6 when they travel crosstown to complete the home-and-home season series with the Saints.

SUNY Canton kicks off their SUNYAC schedule at home on October 9 when they welcome league newcomer and former NAC foe Cobleskill to Stan Cohen Court. The Roos host the Bears the following Wednesday (10/14) for the teams conference battle in Canton.

League road games include trips to Delhi (10/17), Alfred State (10/30), Cortland (10/31) and Plattsburgh (11/7). The remainder of the SUNYAC home slate includes Buffalo State (10/23), Fredonia (10/24) and Oneonta (11/4).

SUNY Canton will look to qualify for its first SUNYAC Tournament. With the addition of Alfred State, Cobleskill and Delhi to the league this year, the top eight teams in the conference standings qualify for the playoffs with the top two seeds earning double byes to the semifinals on November 14.

The fifth and sixth seeds will host the eighth and seventh seeds, respectively, in first round games on November 10. The third and fourth seeds will host second round games on November 12. The semifinals and championship will both take place at the one seed on November 14 and 15, respectively.
