Rochester, NY – After an impressive performance at the spring portion of the Empire 8 Championship, freshman Raine Rumble has been named the Empire 8 Men's Golf Player of the Week.

Rumble shot the lowest score at the spring portion of the 2025-26 Empire 8 Championship with a two-round total of 157 (+13). After sitting tied for seventh following the fall portion of the tournament he climbed his way to solo third with rounds of 80 and 77. In Sunday's third round he went out in 39 and came home in 41 recording a birdie and 10 pars as part of his round. He concluded the tournament with a 77 (38-39) including registering three birdies on his back nine. Following his performance at the tournament he was named Empire 8 First Team All-Conference and the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year as he produced the lowest four-round score of any rookie in the field.
   
Rumble also tied for fifth place out of a field of 27 golfers at the St. John Fisher Spring Invitational at Cobblestone Creek Country Club on Sunday (4/12) and Monday (4/13) with a two-day total of 158 (+14) with rounds of 77 and 81.  He recorded three birdies and seven pars in the first round followed by 10 pars in the second round.

The rookie then tied for 12th out of 33 golfers at the SUNY Delhi Quad with a round of 77 (+5) on Thursday. He went out in 37 before coming home in 40 recording a birdie and 11 pars as part of his round at the College Golf Course at Delhi.

Rumble was also named the Empire 8 Men's Golf Player of the Week in the fall on September 9, 2025.
