Garritt Palmer, both members of the men's lacrosse team, have been named this week's Roos of the Week.
Mclear recorded career and game-highs of five goals and five points in a 13-8 SUNYAC loss to Plattsburgh on Saturday. He scored the first two goals of the game in just over a two minute span. The sophomore then added a man-up goal in the second quarter to get Canton within one. He scored the team's lone goal of the third quarter and added his fifth goal of the game with 3:29 left in the contest. Overall, Mclear scored nearly 63% of the team's goals in the contest.
Palmer had an impressive performance stopping 19 of the 32 shots he faced (.594 save %) while picking up a game-best seven ground balls to go with a caused turnover in a 13-8 SUNYAC loss to Plattsburgh on Saturday. He made eight saves in the second quarter alone to keep the Roos within striking distance down just 6-4 at halftime.
