Nicole Morrow stopped eight shots as the SUNY Canton women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 lightning delayed contest against Clarkson on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clarkson got on the board first just 63 seconds in when Ella Intrieri dribbled down the right side playing a cross into the center of the box. Jamie Dahlgard one-timed a shot into the left corner of the net for the early lead.
- The Golden Knights doubled their lead in the 16th minute scoring off a Canton goal kick. Jamie Dahlgard picked up the loose ball off the kick and played a through ball up the middle to Rachael Matthews who placed a shot into the lower right-hand corner.
- Matthews scored her second of the night just less than two minutes later off a Riley Irvin corner kick when she headed home a ball in the center of the box into the top center of goal.
- Clarkson held a 6-0 shots on goal advantage taking a 3-0 lead into intermission.
- The Knights added goals from Ella Intrieri and Valentina Fasciano in the 49th and 53rd minutes, respectively.
- With just under 36 minutes left in regulation and at 8:17 p.m. the game was suspended due to lightning and thunderstorms in the area. The contest resumed just over two hours later.
- Nearly 16 minutes after resumption and with 10:26 remaining the game was called due to lightning for a second time. Since the match was more than 70 minutes into the game it is considered official by NCAA protocols.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Clarkson held the upper hand in shots (17-3), shots on goal (13-0) and corners (4-0).
- With her eight saves Morrow now has 47 on the season in six appearances.
- Matthews led the Golden Knights with two goals and one assist, while Dahlgard had a goal and two assists and Intrieri posted a goal and assist.
