HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The game was neck-and-neck early with neither side pulling out ahead by more than a couple possessions.

  • SUNY Canton led 40-32 at halftime after Eugene Johnson Jr. scored on the final possession of the half.
  • The Roos had an excellent start to the second half with Lateef Johnson Jr. scoring a bucket to put SUNY Canton up double figures at 44-34 with 18:07 left on the timer.
  • The contest remained within seven to 11 points until a 9-0 run from SUNY Canton put them ahead 66-48 with eight minutes left.
  • Too many fouls from both sides dragged the game on for a while, but SUNY Canton's offense was too much for New Paltz as the Roos went on to claim the 89-76 victory.
