Canton, NY – Juniors
Sal Diaz and
Chris McLean both registered two hits for the Roos but it was ultimately not enough as Canton fell to visiting Oswego by a final score of 15-1. Diaz registered the only double of the day for the hosts while McLean scored the only run of the contest for Canton.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The visiting Lakers opened the game scoring six runs on four hits in the top of the first inning.
- Diaz and sophomore Eliezer Vazquez singled in the first inning for the Roos but they were unable to capitalize in the frame.
- Oswego added three runs on four hits during the top of the second inning.
- The Roos responded with three hits by McLean, senior Alphonse Fuca and sophomore AJ Campi in the bottom of the second.
- McLean scored during the inning and Campi recorded the RBI.
- Senior Bradley Mills singled up the middle in the bottom of the third. McLean singled again in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- The visiting Lakers scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning.
- Diaz delivered again in the bottom of the fifth inning with a ground-rule double before Vazquez was hit by a pitch during the inning. The Roos unfortunately were unable to bring either runner home during the inning.
- Oswego added two more runs in the top of the seventh inning.
- Freshman Liam Hohertz pinch hit for the Roos in the bottom of the seventh inning reaching first base on a single to left field.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Canton notched nine hits on the day while the Lakers had 14.
- Jacob Sanders earned the win for Oswego tossing four innnings allowing one run with three strikeouts.Â
- Sophomore Daniel Aviles took the loss for the Roos allowing seven earned runs in the first inning.Â
- Freshman Lucas Gravlin pitched three innings for the Roos while junior John Pascarella Jr. finished the day on the mound.
- The Roos had five errors on the day while Oswego had none during the contest.
- Daniel Winchester had three hits for Oswego including a triple.
- Dylan Rosenberg had three RBIÂ to lead the visitors.

WHAT'S NEXT?
These two teams are scheduled for another SUNYAC doubleheader on Saturday at 12 p.m. The Roos will celebrate Senior Day following the first game.
