Canton, NY – In a game that had been rescheduled four times, the Cardinals of Plattsburgh came out victorious in the final match-up against the Roos this season. With 10 runs in the final four innings, the visitors pushed the game out of reach, despite the Roos cutting the lead to two in the seventh inning. Plattsburgh's Jack Castillo threw six innings of work, striking out seven and allowing four runs to earn the win, while Nick Goldberg threw three innings in relief to earn his third save of the year. Kayden Guerin went five and one-third innings, allowing four earned runs and striking out four in the loss.
Derek Maldonado led Canton with a two RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning to give the Roos the early lead, and followed that up with two walks to reach base three times on the afternoon. Eliezer Vazquez chipped in two hits to the Roo offensive effort this afternoon, with Sal Diaz, Lance Phillips Jr., and AJ Campi recording one hit apiece.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- 
	Kayden Guerin started the game with a scoreless top of the first, allowing a hit before Diaz caught the Cardinal base runner stealing to end the inning. 
- 
	The Roos threatened in the bottom of the first after a walk and wild pitch put Lance Phillips Jr. on second base, but the inning ended without a run. 
- 
	Plattsburgh used an RBI triple by Frankie Kowa to open the scoring in the top of the second, taking a 1-0 lead. Canton would go 1-2-3 in the home half of the inning. 
- 
	Guerin worked through some danger in the top of the third, as the Cardinals took advantage of a balk and had a runner 90 feet from home, but a pop out to second would end the inning, before Canton would again go quietly in the bottom of the third.

	In the fourth, the Cardinals would strike again, with an RBI double by Michael Piccirillo pushing the advantage to two. The Roos would figure out Goldberg on the second time through the order, as a Diaz hit-by-pitch and Vazquez double started the inning off.

	Bradley Mills drove in Diaz with an RBI ground out before a walk and a second hit-by-pitch would set up Maldonado with a bases-loaded two RBI single to give the Roos the lead 3-2 lead before a strikeout would end the inning.

	After a scoreless fifth inning, Plattsburgh chased Guerin from the game after four singles plated three runs in the top of the sixth. Keegan Franklin would get a double play ball to end the inning without further damage.

	After a scoreless bottom of the inning, the Cardinals got two runners on before Javier Chico relieved Franklin. After a Frankie Kowal RBI single and another run would score, Chico got out of the jam with a strikeout.

	The bottom of the seventh saw Maldonado get on base with a walk before he would score following singles by AJ Campi and Phillips Jr, assisted by an error from the Cardinals. Diaz drove in the fifth Roo run with an RBI single of his own, and the inning would end with Plattsburgh leading 7-5.

	The away team added five runs in the eighth and ninth innings for a 12-5 final.

	Kayden Guerin pitched five innings, registering four strikeouts and three walks as he fell to 1-5 on the year, while Jack Castillo moved to 2-1 after pitching six innings with seven strikeouts, three walks, and two hit batters.
