Lazore, Fuhrey and Marion Lead Men’s Golf on Final Day at Oswego

Oswego, NY – Kahontiio Lazore fired a team-best round of 81 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 170 strokes, while Anthony Marion carded a Sunday round of 84 to finish with a two-day total of 167 as the duo both finished in the top 30 at the Oswego State Spring Invitational at Oswego Country Club.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After shooting 83 (40-43) on Saturday, Marion posted an 84 (43-41) on Sunday with five pars and a birdie to tie for 22nd place out of 42 golfers.
  • Lazore posted an 81 (41-40) on Sunday after his 89 on Saturday. The rookie registered 10 pars on Sunday to tie for 28th.
  • Fuhrey finished with an 83 (42-41) on Sunday after his 89 (40-49) on Saturday. He finished with eight pars today to finish alone in 31st place.
  • John McCall's 176 (36th: 87-89) and Kyle Murphy's 180 (42nd: 94-86) rounded out the competitors for Canton.
  • The Roos finished in eighth place out of the eight-team field with a two-day total of 682 (348-334). SUNY Delhi's A team wont the team title (637) edging Nazareth (642) and SUNY Delhi B (649).
  • There was a three-way tie for first place at 156 between Oswego's Mike Douglas, Nazareth's Vincent Falgiatano and Delhi's Gabe Horsford. Douglas won the first playoff hole with a bogey while Falgiatano and Horsford double bogeyed.
