Verona, NY – Anthony Marion carded a round of 9-over par, 81, to lead the SUNY Canton men's golf team in a dual match against St. Lawrence at the Shenendoah Golf Course at Turning Stone Resort on Monday. Kahontiio Lazore led the Roos with three birdies on his round.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Marion went out in 40 and came home in 41 recording 11 pars on the day to finish in fifth place individually out of 12 golfers.
• Kahontiio Lazore shot a 44 on the front and came home with a 41 on the back to record an 85. He led the Roos with three birdies on the day finishing in a tie for seventh place.
• John McCall posted an 89 with a 43 on the front and 46 on the back, while Brody Fuhrey (50-46) and Tyler Martin (48-48) tied for 11th with 96's.
• St. Lawrence won the team event with 296 strokes, while Canton was second with 345.

The Roos are scheduled to close out their spring season on Saturday and Sunday at the Oswego State Spring Invitational at Oswego Country Club. Tee times are set for 11 a.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
