HOW IT HAPPENED

  • SUNY Canton had a nice, productive stretch after this, breaking press for some run outs and open threes. The Roos went on a 12-2 run to bring the game to 22-16 with Eugene Johnson Jr. having seven points before the halfway mark of the first half.
  • However, it was all Red Dragons past this point, as they drew fouls and forced turnovers on their way to ending the half on a 22-9 run. Cortland was ahead 44-25 with Johnson Jr. going for seven points at the break.
  • The Red Dragons blew it open in the second half, outscoring the Roos 28-4 in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
  • Jahdeuir Reese had a nice stretch, scoring seven points in a 3:39 span, but the final buzzer sounded and Cortland earned their second SUNYAC victory.
