Men’s & Women’s Hockey Receiving Votes in Top 15 Polls

Canton, NY – For the first time both the SUNY Canton men's and women's hockey teams are receiving votes in the United States College Hockey Online (USCHO) Top 15 polls in the same week.

This is the third consecutive week the Canton men have received votes in the USCHO poll and the second week in a row they have received votes in the D III Hockey News Top 15 poll. This marks the first time the Canton women have received votes in a USCHO Top 15 poll since November 4, 2024 and is the third time overall they have received votes in a USCHO poll.
   
The Canton men and women received one vote each in the USCHO polls, while the men picked up one vote in the D III Hockey News poll.

The Canton men are off to a 4-2-0 start to the season and host a pair of top 10 teams this weekend at Terry Martin Ice Arena. The Roos square off with No. 7/8 Oswego on Friday at 7 p.m. before hosting three-time defending national champion No. 1/1 Hobart on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Canton women sit at 5-1-0 overall and hit the road for the first time in three weeks visiting Buffalo State Friday at 7 p.m. and William Smith, who is also receiving votes in the USCHO Poll, on Saturday at 4 p.m.
