HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Cortland got on the board just 23 seconds into the game off the foot of Jake Hutter. Roos keeper Joey Raap made two great saves off a Hutter header and made a diving save on the initial rebound, but the third time was the charm for Hutter as he found the back of the net on the second rebound.

  • Cortland added a third goal in the final minute before halftime as Gaetano Corrao took a corner kick from the far side as his left-footed attempt bent through traffic into the back of the net.
  • The Red Dragons held an 11-1 shots on goal advantage in the opening half with Lucas Damon registering the Roos lone shot on target.
