Delhi, NY – Meah Boyles and
Chamonix Jackson scored back-to-back goals to tie the game but a late first half goal from SUNY Delhi held up in a 3-2 win for the Broncos on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delhi netted a pair of goals less than two minutes apart in the 11th and 13th minutes from Shaniyah Myers and Madison Thorbourne to take an early 2-0 lead.
- Canton got within one in the 21st minute when Kamryn Barnes played a through ball up the center of the field out in front of Boyles. The keeper appeared to stop the momentum of the ball momentarily but the ball came loose as Boyles picked it up and put a shot into the open net.
- The Roos tied things up in the 39th minute when Shannon Platt headed a loose ball into the box for a running Chamonix Jackson as she slid and one-timed a shot into the lower right corner to knot things at 2-2.
- Gabrielle Avallone scored just over a minute later to give the Broncos a 3-2 lead at intermission. The Roos held a 6-4 shots on goal advantage in the opening half.
- The Roos held a slim 5-4 shots on goal edge in the second half but both keepers didn't allow a score the rest of the way as Delhi hung on for the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Roos held the upper hand in shots (13-12) and shots on goal (11-8), while the Broncos had the edge in corner kicks (7-3).
- Boyles' goal is her first career score in her 35th career game.
- Jackson's goal is her team-leading fourth of the season and she lead the Roos with 10 points on the season. Barnes is tied for the team lead with two assists. Jackson had four shots on goal in the game, while Barnes added three.
- Skylar Williams made five saves in the loss for Canton, while Abigial Allen turned aside nine shots in the win for the Broncos.
