Nolan Sullivan turned aside 10 shots on the day, but visiting Clarkson broke through for a pair of second half tallies in a 2-0 win against the SUNY Canton men's soccer team on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Visiting Clarkson nearly took the lead in the final 10 seconds of the first half as Cole Mueller's shot hit the left post with six seconds to play.
- The Knights held a 7-1 shots on goal advantage in the first half, but seven saves from Sullivan kept the game tied at 0-0.
- The Knights broke through in the 58th minute when Daniel Medina made a nice cut to his right firing a shot that deflected off a Canton defender and off the underside of the crossbar and in for the goal.
- Clarkson doubled its lead just over three minutes later. Luis Cervantes collected a loose ball off a corner kick and fired a shot towards the left post that was tapped in by Zach Shufelt for his third of the season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Clarkson controlled shots (26-5), shots on goal (13-4) and corner kicks (8-3).
- Chris Escobar, Markel Mosley, Foster Hutchins and Gary Gutama registered one shot on goal each for the Roos.
- Sullivan finished with 10 saves in the loss, while Carter Kladstrup recorded a four save clean sheet for the Knights.
